Enhance your garden with the magnificent Japanese Tree Lilac (Syringa reticulata), the largest species within the Lilac family. Little known fact... lilacs are members of the olive family. Capable of reaching heights up to 49 feet, but usually only growing to 30 feet, this deciduous tree boasts elliptic-acute leaves and is celebrated for its creamy-white fragrant flowers that bloom in broad panicles in early summer. Revered in both Europe and America for its ornamental beauty, the Japanese Tree Lilac thrives in urban conditions and cool summer climates. It serves as a stunning landscape specimen or a natural screen along property lines.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Start seeds indoors and stratify seeds by placing them in a wet paper towel in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 60 days. After stratification, sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in well-drained soil. Lilacs prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Transplant once the seedlings are strong and healthy after the threat of frost.
